Septic Tanks

Most local septic codes require demolition of underground septic tanks when abandoning them. Decomposing abandoned septic tanks create a dangerous void underground that can collapse and injure people or animals. Excavation and demolition of the tank requires the correct equipment, training and safety measures. Demolition of an underground septic tank is usually made in conjunction with a new tank installation when material and equipment will already be on-site.

Septic System's require several basic components in order to function properly, but they also must be designed to work with the number of bedrooms in the home, the layout of the site, and the texture of the soil that will hold the system.Though many homeowners are tempted to find ways of saving money the installation of a septic tank system must be undertaken by a  professional.

Septic systems incorporate a concrete holding tank in which wastewater and waste materials from sinks, bathtubs, showers and toilets are deposited. The waste collects in the tank where enzyme and bacterial action begin breaking down the waste products, converting them into a liquid. As the level of liquid rises it eventually reaches an overflow pipe, and is then directed into a series of covered trenches known as the drain field.
